Will you keep HODLing or will you take profits during the next halving and wait for a dip to buy again?

That’s a good question. I think I’ll try to time the market this time.

Just rewatched the big short recently, great movie and great reminder of how insane our financial system is.

I had no idea the dollar had lost so much of it's value in the last century. I make about $100k per year which means I would've only made $4k back in 1913? Thats wild!

I finally decided to hop on the bitcoin train basically right as it reached its peak a few years back, but I've just been steadily buying a bit more month by month and making sure its only a small part of my overall financial bucket.

Great stuff as always my friend.

It’s crazy when you put things into perspective. Congrats on taking the leap and buying bitcoin. At the moment it represents more than 80% of my portfolio, so I’m excited to see what will happen.

Hi Alejandro, these are constructive arguments for holding Bitcoin indeed! It is puzzling to me the long-term value it would attain - this is probably the biggest (fundamental) investor question. Thanks for your article!

I think Bitcoin clashes against the traditional notion of value. I’ve always thought it’s subjective. A bottle of water in the middle of the desert would be more valuable than an ounce of gold.

Great post Alejandro! I hold Bitcoin but I often find myself going back and forth on whether cryptocurrencies are the future of finance or a potential financial bubble. Many reasons that it could be one or the other, and your post certainly argued the best points why BTC could be the future of finance.

I agree Dylan. I’m all for Bitcoin, but I can’t help being sceptical about it too.
